Welcome Centre
In order to obtain an entry visa or a residence title for the purpose of research (§18d, §18e or §18f Residence Act), international researchers need a hosting agreement with Ruhr University Bochum.
In the case of research stays funded by scholarships, the hosting agreement is signed by the International Office. In the case of employment contracts, the Human Resources Department (Department 3) is responsible.

If the research stay is funded by a scholarship, the International Office is responsible for signing and sealing the hosting agreement on behalf of Ruhr University. The Welcome Centre takes care of the process.

If the researcher is employed by Ruhr University Bochum, the hosting agreement will be signed and sealed by Ruhr University in the Human Resources Department.
