Hosting agreement

In order to be granted an entry visa or a residence title for the purpose of research (§18d), or to apply for a short-term stay as a researcher (§18e), international researchers need a hosting agreement with the Ruhr University Bochum as a recognised research institution.

In the case of research stays funded by scholarships, the hosting agreement is signed by the International Office. In the case of employment contracts, the Human Resources Department (Department 3) is responsible.

Hosting agreement for scholarships

If the research stay is funded by a scholarship, the International Office is responsible for signing and sealing the hosting agreement on behalf of Ruhr University. The Welcome Centre takes care of the process.

Hosting agreement for employment contracts

If the researcher is employed by Ruhr University Bochum, the hosting agreement will be signed and sealed by Ruhr University in the Human Resources Department.

Please contact your case worker in Department 3 Human Resources and Legal Affairs.
