The offices of the International Office staff are located in the Student Service Center (SSC) and the University Administration building (Welcome Centre for International Researchers and Doctoral Students), two interconnected buildings centrally located on campus.
The Ruhr-Universität campus is easily accessible by car and public transport. Exact details can be found below.

Tip: Under the tab "All maps" you can find additional material, such as the "Family plan" highlighting breastfeeding and nappy-changing rooms and parent-child workrooms for university employees.
You are lost on campus or can't find the right contact person? The Infopoint (University Administration) and the Reception in the Student Service Center (SSC) are the first point of contact: University staff members at both stations provide orientation assistance, tell you where to go and support you with many formalities.
From the U35 station "Ruhr-Universität", first cross the pedestrian bridge in the direction of the university (to the right). The SSC is located on the left side behind the bridge, unmistakable from afar by the inscription "SSC" on the facade. You enter it directly to the left of the university administration, which is also connected to the SSC by a glass walkway.
Address for your navigation system: Universitätsstraße 150 Bochum
Take the exit "Uni Mitte" of the Universitätsstraße. Drive into the visitors' parking lot: Keep left when entering the parking lot and turn left behind the information point. From the parking lot, take the stairs to the pedestrian bridge over Universitätsstraße and follow the above description.
All university facilities - both on and off campus - are also easily accessible by bike.
The Metropolradruhr bike rental system is particularly practical: bikes are available for rent at many stations and the first hour is free for our students and staff - even several times a day. The bikes can also be booked via a practical app, which shows where the next free bike can be found upon request.
Lockable bike boxes and many bike racks, as well as a free bike repair station and the AStA self-help bike workshop on campus are just some of the services available for anyone on two wheels at RUB.
