Planning your stay

Step-by-Step

• Register with the Welcome Centre
• Compile the most important documents (further information can be found in Chapter Five of our Guide for international researchers)
• Make contact with the German embassy to clarify immigration matters and, if applicable, apply for your visa (and those of any family members accompanying you)
• Find accommodation (you can reserve an accommodation in one of our guest houses)
• Arrange health insurance coverage (as well as for those accompanying you)
• If applicable, enquire about local child care/schools well in advance
• If possible, apply for an eduroam account at your home university
