Study abroad in Russia and Belarus

Within the scope of the interdisciplinary exchange programmes with partners in Russia and Belarus, tuition fees will not be charged at the host university. Additional funding by the PROMOS programme is possible.

Still places available for the academic year 2022/23:

At the Higher School of Economics in Moscow (Russia) there are still places available for the winter semester 2022/23 and for the summer semester 2023.

Partner universities

Belarus

BSU will grant a scholarship of approx. €90 per month to the students nominated by RUB's International Office.

Russia

Admission to Lomonosov Moscow State University requires a grade point average of 2.0 or better.

To attend classes in English at least a B2-level English proficiency (IELTS 6.0) is required.

To attend classes in Russian at least a B2-level Russian language proficiency (TORFL-II) is required.

To attend Russian language courses at least an A2 level Russian language proficiency (TBL) is required.

To attend classes in English at least a B2-level English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 75) is required.

To attend classes in Russian at least a C1-level Russian language proficiency is required.

Important notes and restrictions

  • Please make sure to check whether your field of study is offered at the universities of your choice. There might be subject-related restrictions.
  • Please note that the academic calendar at the host university may differ from those at Ruhr-Universität Bochum.
  • Also pay attention to language admission requirements that may be applicable for admission at the host university!
