Erasmus additional funding

Erasmus is dedicated to promoting sustainability, equal opportunities and inclusion. Therefore, scholars can apply for various "top-ups" in addition to the regular Erasmus funding rates.

Green Travel

If at least 50 percent of your mobility are covered by "Green Travel", you can apply for the top-up for Green Travel.

The outbound and/or return journey to and/or from the host institution will be by environmentally friendly means of transportation (train, bus, carpooling) as part of the planned Erasmus+ stay. Additional funding of one-time 50 Euros for green travel and up to four additional funding days for a longer journey to and/or from the host institution can be granted. To register for the Erasmus top-up for Green Travel, please use the honorary declaration on sustainable travel/"Green Travel".

Please upload the honorary declaration in your online grant application (for an Erasmus+ study or traineeship abroad). The International Office will inform you about the application deadline in due time.

UNIC Train instead of Plane (TIP) Scheme

If you study abroad within the Erasmus programme at one of the member universities of the international university consortium European University of Post-Industrial Cities (UNIC) and travel by train, you can use the Train instead of Plane (TIP) Scheme and apply for additional funding. The distance between RUB and the host university must be more than 350 km.
