In the current submission round, free to apply are students of all departments who are planning a study abroad semester within an exchange programme of Ruhr University Bochum (except for Erasmus) in the winter semester 2023/24, a stay abroad in order to write their thesis or to do an internship (except for Erasmus member states) in the year 2023.

Within the framework of the programme funded by the DAAD, the BMBF and the university itself, Ruhr University Bochum supports RUB students and their short-term stays abroad.
Current application deadline: 1 June 2023 (8:00 AM)
Please note that this is the last application deadline for the PROMOS funding year 2023.
The first application deadline for the funding year 2024 is 1 November 2023. Please do not hesitate to contact us of you have any questions.
Information for lecturers
Teaching staff of Ruhr University Bochum can apply for PROMOS funding of field trips with a number of participants of 5 to 15 students and PhD candidates. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact the International Office.
