International exchange students
The International Office offers an Orientation Course (O-Kurs) for exchange students at the start of each winter and summer term.
The Orientation Course offers you the opportunity to improve your German language skills, meet other students and to familiarise yourself with Bochum and the surrounding area before the start of your exchange programme. In addition, with the support of our tutors, you will be assisted in the handling of formalities to be completed at the beginning of your stay.
The participation fee for the Orientation Course for the summer semester 2024 is €140.
The Orientation Course programme includes
All participants will receive the detailed programme by email shortly before the start of the Orientation Course and on the first day at the official welcome.
We will inform accepted RUB exchange students about the registration for the Orientation Course via email.

We will open a WhatsApp group for all participants where you can ask questions and get in touch with the other participants.
