The Welcome Centre offers advice and support for international researchers.
Are you currently planning your research stay at Ruhr-Universität Bochum? We would like to welcome you to Bochum and give you the best possible start at RUB!
Our services
- A personal welcome - where you will be introduced to the formalities of your stay
- Regular consultation hours and individual counselling - any time during your research stay at RUB
- Appointment scheduling at the City Administration Office and Foreigners' Office in Bochum
- Accompaniment to appointments and support in dealing with local authorities
- Information on finding accommodation
- Consultation on family matters - in cooperation with ProKids
- Coordination of events for international researchers and their families
- Networking with other RUB service institutions, chairs and departments - for an optimal support of your affairs
