In a globalized world, cultures are no separate entities. Student mobility and diverse university environments make the benefits of cultural differences, as well as power imbalances, an everyday reality.
We encounter different people, ways of thinking, interaction forms, and institutional cultures. Understanding and embracing diversity in practice therefor is crucial. This involves reflecting on our own and others' values, learning through exchange, and tackling prejudice collaboratively.
This workshop offers participants the chance to explore cultural similarities and differences, understand values and perceptions, and enhance their communication skills for navigating a transcultural environment.
The workshop is led by social psychologist Monique Kaulertz from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
