Frequently Asked Questions - Scholarship for international students

Yes. If you wish to apply or have already applied for scholarships from other organizations, you must indicate this on the application form.

Please ask your scholarship provider if you are allowed to receive another scholarship at the same time. Some scholarships can be combined. If you are already receiving another scholarship, please contact us (rubiss@rub.de) and we will check if further funding by the International Office is possible.

Please remember that the sum of the total scholarship installment and gross additional earnings must not exceed 1,472€.

Allowed parallel funding:

Scholarship for international students + Deutschlandstipendium

Yes, this is possible in principle. However, the sum of the scholarship rate and gross additional earnings may not exceed 1,472€. This means that if you receive a monthly grant of 500€, you are allowed to earn an additional 972€ gross per month, including the receipt of another scholarship.

Funding through a "Scholarship for international students" is not intended for a semester/stay abroad.
