Events for international students
The training will be held in English.
University life brings us together across cultures, languages, and backgrounds. Student mobility and diverse university settings bring the richness of cultural exchange to everyday life, while also revealing power imbalances and experiences of discrimination. Wherever we are, we encounter distinct institutional cultures, people with diverse perspectives, histories, ways of living and communicating. Some may feel familiar, others very different from what we know and have experienced so far. It reminds us that diversity is not only something to recognize, but something to live and practice in our everyday interactions.
This workshop invites participants to reflect on themselves, their values, assumptions, and worldviews, while engaging in open dialogue and collaborative learning. Through interactive exercises, students will explore cultural similarities and differences, strengthen their communication skills in transcultural contexts, and develop strategies to challenge biases in empowering and constructive ways.
Together, we will create a space of exchange and mutual learning—embracing diversity as a resource for connection, creativity, and collective empowerment.
The workshop is led by social psychologist Eva Günzel from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
