Scholarship benefits include 2,000 euros, participation in preparatory and networking meetings of German and American Fulbright scholars as well as admission to the international Fulbright network of Fulbright scholars and alumni.

2023-24 to the US with Fulbright
German students who would like to study at a US American partner university of Ruhr University Bochum in 2023-24 can apply for a travel scholarship at Fulbright Germany until 1 February 2022. Here you can find detailed information about the programme. Johann Baumgart from the Fulbright Commission will be happy to answer your questions at reisestipendien@fulbright.de.
By the application deadline of 1 February 2023, please take the following three steps:
1. Complete the online application form.
2. Email the following documents (in the order as follows) as one pdf file (max. 5 MB) to the International Office of Ruhr University Bochum (outbound@rub.de):
- Application form (after you have filled out the application form online, you will receive a link to generate the application form as a pdf document)
- Curriculum vitae
- Copy of university entrance qualification certificate
- List of previous academic achievements with grade point average (issued by the examination office) and, if applicable, a copy of the Bachelor's degree certificate
3. Ask two university lecturers to email a copy of one confidential letter of recommendation each (in German or English) to the International Office of Ruhr University Bochum (outbound@rub.de).
