Dr. Maximilian Schell
Maximilian Schell is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Systematic Theology and Ethics in the Faculty of Protestant Theology at Ruhr University Bochum.
His research expertise lies in the fields of peace ethics, medical ethics, and ethics of Academia. Since 2024, he is the Principal Investigator of the project "Academic Freedom as a Driver of Development? Regional Perspectives on the Roles and Responsibilities of Academia“, funded by the Worldwide Universities Network.
He is particularly interested in the role of religious actors in promoting or hindering academic freedom in connection with their respective theological resources.
