Welcome Centre
The Welcome Centre is the place international academics, researchers, scientists and other university-related professionals can go to seek advice, support and services regarding their visit to Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB).
We offer support and advice to international researchers who are planning a research period at RUB, and also to their hosts and faculties at the university.
We're looking forward to assisting your preparation for your trip as well as supporting you during your stay. Here you can find information, recommendations and support regarding specific topics and areas relevant for your visit to Bochum. These range from residence and work formalities, to helpful hints for a smooth social integration.
Registration
All foreign researchers who come to RUB should register with the Researchers' Database as soon as possible (ideally prior to their arrival in Bochum). Once you've registered online, you and your accompanying family members can personally take advantage of the services and information the Welcome Centre provides for RUB international guest researchers.
