PROMOS: In 2026, Go Abroad with a Scholarship!

RUB students from all departments are eligible to apply for PROMOS if they are planning a stay abroad as follows:

• a study abroad semester via an exchange program of the International Office or the faculties/institutes at a RUB partner university (except in Erasmus countries)
• a research stay abroad to write their thesis

Please note that, unfortunately, internships cannot be funded currently.

Teaching staff of Ruhr University Bochum can apply for PROMOS funding of field trips with a number of participants of 5 to 15 students and PhD candidates. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact the International Office.
