LabExchange

Research abroad grant programme for graduate students (Master) and undergraduate students in higher semesters (Bachelor)

Aim of the programme

The goal of the programme is to promote student mobility and research-oriented learning and to enable students to develop intercultural competencies.

The targeted involvement of students in international research contexts is intended to initiate and consolidate lasting cooperation structures. The aim is for international research cooperations at Ruhr-Universität Bochum to have a stronger impact on university teaching.

Requirements

Funding is provided for research-oriented stays abroad during which students can work on a joint research project between the partner institution and Ruhr-Universität Bochum within institutionalised university partnerships and thereby deepen their subject-related and intercultural competencies. It is desirable if the research activities are creditable within the framework of the degree programme and take place in a subject-oriented foreign language. Furthermore, the research stay should serve to strengthen the cooperation with the partner university in particular and the international profile of the faculty in general.

Funding

Interested students who have already found a research position can apply for financial support at the International Office: Please check whether Erasmus internship funding or PROMOS funding might be an option for you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us!
