KUBUS

Based on the design of architects Pfeiffer, Ellermann and Preckel from Münster, KUBUS was opened May 2010 and is built on the ruins of Haus Weitmar, which was destroyed in the Second World War.

KUBUS has a total area of ca. 1,200 square metres (distributed over four floors) and houses space for temporary exhibitions, and cultural and scientific events, offices, a warehouse with a framing and restoration workshop, a small café called Baristoteles, as well as three non-smoking guest apartments reserved for our researchers from around the world.

Apartment facilities

These units included:

  • A furnished and fully-equipped kitchenette (including kitchen utensils such as crockery, cutlery, pots etc. as well as a coffee maker, dishwasher, ceramic hob, microwave)

  • Bed linen and towels
  • Bathroom with shower and toilet

  • Shared washing machines/dryers in the basement

  • A big, extendable sofa bed

  • TV and internet access (no WLAN available)

  • 1 x One-Room apartment with ca. 50,65 m²

  • 2 x One-Room apartment with ca. 43,70 m²

Monthly rent: €744 – €862

Final cleaning services: €130 one-time payment

As of March 2023. Prices subject to change without notice. All rental prices include ancillary costs (electricity, water, heating, internet). Media licence fee and deposit not included.
