Registration and Organisation of the Event

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the purposes of registration, organising and undertaking the event is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal data for the purposes of registration, organising, and undertaking the event. The following personal data will be processed for this purpose:

  • Title
  • First Name, Surname
  • E-Mail
  • Institution/Organisation
  • Position/Status Group
  • Country

Your data will be deleted as soon as the data is not required anymore for the purpose of organising, undertaking and documenting the event. Under Art. 7(3) GDPR you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. By law, the refusal to consent or the withdrawal of consent may disadvantage a person. A withdrawal of consent does not have retroactive effect.

For the purposes of registration, “eveeno.com” acts as a data processor for the Ruhr University. You can find Ruhr University’s privacy policy relating to Eveeno here.

Recordings during the event

On behalf of the Ruhr University Bochum photographs, videos, screenshots or other recordings, as well as live streams may be taken of individual sessions during the event. This data will be processed for documenting the event and for public relations and information purposes on university websites and social media amongst others.

Recordings will be made without offering compensation and used without a commercial purpose. If you do not consent to this or do not want to be publicly associated with the event please reach out to the organiser in advance or at the event.

This data will be processed pursuant to Art. 6(1)(e) GDPR and § 8(6) University Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (HG NRW). Data protection information will also be made available and accessible at the event.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
