Academic counselling
Refugees who wish to begin or continue their studies can contact the International Office for initial assistance.
In cooperation with the Admission Office and the Student Advice Centre, the International Office offers special consultation hours for prospective students with refugee backgrounds, during which they can find out about studying at RUB, study requirements, recognition of degrees and German language courses.
All relevant academic documents should be presented either in German, English or French for an initial consultation. The counselling session can be conducted in either German, English or Arabic (for all other languages, the support of a translator is advisable). It is not necessary to schedule an appointment in advance during the intended consultation hours.
