Jobs and Traineeships

Part-time jobs and internships

If you wish, you can gain valuable work experience during your studies. You may be able to find a part-time job and earn some money, or you could do an internship and explore your career options by "trying out" different jobs.

Part-time jobs

Many students in Germany work whilst they're at university in order to finance their studies and-/or living costs. You can also do this as an international student, but you should keep in mind that there are some restrictions. Your main goal should be the successful completion of your studies!

Internships

An internship is an obligatory part of many degree courses. An internship is always a good way to gain some insight into a job or professional field, even if you're not required to do one in your programme. You can gain some professional knowledge and work experience, which might be of help when it comes to making decisions about your career after finishing your degree.
